Pom Klementieff | Rotten Tomatoes (2025)

Pom Klementieff, who had a mixture of Korean, French, and Russian heritage, was born in Canada but wound up living in Japan and the Ivory Coast at a young age. She eventually settled in France as a child, where she grew up around tragedy, as her father died of cancer and her mother was schizophrenic. She struggled through her teenage years, but wound up studying drama at the Cours Florent school in Paris. That led her to first acting role in the French film "Après lui" (2007). From there, her career took off, as she appeared in numerous French films over the ensuing years, ranging from comedies like "Porn in the Hood" (2012) to dramas such as "Loup" (2009). After six years of French cinema, Klementieff made the leap to Hollywood with a role in the Spike Lee remake of "Oldboy" (2013) starring Josh Brolin. She starred in the film "Hacker's Game" (2015) shortly after before getting cast in the hotly anticipated Marvel film "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" (2017) as a character in the Marvel universe.
