Bubble foam is so much fun to play with!

First off, I think we can all agree that this bubble foam looks pretty awesome. The colors are so vibrant, they’re just calling the kids to stick their hands in and play.

But before they mix the colors altogether, have them make their very own foam bubble rainbow. It’s a great way to have them imagine the rainbow, create it, and do it all on their own.

How long does bubble foam last?

It’s really going to last for just one activity. The more that the kids play with it, the more that the bubbles are going to disappear. But luckily, since it takes only three easy ingredients, you can whip up another batch of foam bubbles in no time at all.

Are these bubbles safe for children?

As long as you talk to them about not putting them in their mouths, they should be fine. You can also use a soap that is free of chemicals and food coloring that is natural, too, if you’re worried. If it goes in their mouth it’s basically them just eating soap.

Feel free to use a hand mixer or even an electric mixer to make the process more hands-off.

This is one activity my kids ask to do over and over again.

While we do a lot of sensory table activities, this one always seems to be one of the most highly requested by my children. It isn’t just for one particular age, all age groups enjoy touching it, kind of like how Oobleck is such a fun texture to play with. I already introduced this activity to my toddler and she loves it too.

How to use the foam

After the rainbow is made, let the kids have fun! Toss in some toys and turn them into a sensory bin of sorts! Hide a few toys, let them explore with their hands, and see what they can find.

We used some old cookie cutters and beach toys and they worked out perfectly. The kids played for hours and had an amazing time!
